❤️ Gracie

I was introduced to Dorothy from Dottydot Pet Nutrition via IG through a friend's IG story. At that point, Dorothy was actually looking for a pet owner to meal plan for, to use it as her final year project.

Unfortunately, as my dog's (Gracie) case was too complex, she couldn't use
Gracie's case. Nonetheless, she helped me during her own personal time.

Dorothy is a hardworking, kind and genuine person. She is very honest with her POV and has been my support pillar throughout Gracie's journey.

Gracie is a 6 year old pom mix that we adopted from JB in Oct 2024. When we adopted her, we realised that Gracie suffers from Polycystic Kidney Disease and Renal Dysplasia. She was already in Stage 2 and we were told to expect that her condition will not respond much to treatment and she may deteoriate rapidly.

Dorothy works very closely with me to tweak Gracie's food to Gracie's requirements and liking. She tries her best to make herself available whenever I need assistance and support. Dorothy also shares freely based on her experiences.

Dorothy has been extremely supportive and because of the food prepared by Dorothy, it has been much easier to feed Gracie. Gracie eats happily and willingly.

FYI, previously, we had to force feed Gracie a lot or skip meals entirely since she didn't want to eat, which resulted in a lot of vomiting. It was a really stressful time for her and us as well.

Having said all the good things, it wasn't always easy as well. It takes 2 hands to clap and as Gracie's pawrents, it was our responsibility to keep Dorothy updated regularly. I had to follow Dorothy's direction as closely as possible as well. We spent about 2-3 months tweaking the recipe based on Gracie's body requirements, blood test results, and also factor in Gracie's likings / wants.

Gracie is now at the end stage renal disease phase. Nonetheless, Gracie has been able to maintain a healthy weight, good bowel patterns, and has enough nutrition to give her energy through the day.

We are very thankful to have met Dorothy 😁

❤️ Juno

I first encountered Dorothy when my 12 year old golden retriever (Angel) was diagnosed with kidney disease. At that point, I knew next to nothing about how to manage this disease other than whatever the vet prescribed her with. Dorothy not only offered renal focused nutrition advice, but she kindly donated her previous dog’s saline fluids which really helped sustained Angel’s life for a longer period. With her pharmacist background, I was assured that Dorothy’s advice was grounded in thorough research and scientific evidence. Yet, she’s also practical and individualises her approach depending on my dog’s needs and my lifestyle habits. Angel subsequently passed on, but Dorothy’s support endured and she offered a lot of fruitful advice surrounding pet grief and how to move on.

Following Angel’s passing, my family welcomed a new corgi puppy (Juno). Dorothy had since then expanded her business repertoire and is now personally preparing home-cooked food for her clients. Her meals are nutritious and I can confidently vouch, super convenient to prepare, as someone with absolutely 0 cooking skills (aka I can only cook instant food). Puppies are usually picky and sensitive with food but Juno polishes off every bit of Dorothy’s meals and again, no uncensored pictures but I can vouch, her bowel movements remain extremely healthy looking.

Honestly, my biggest takeaway from Dorothy was how genuine her love for dogs is and the lengths she’ll go to, to care for a dog’s welfare. I’ve been graciously given a 2nd chance at having a dog in my life and Dorothy’s attitude has inspired me so much to take better care of my dog’s health. Having experienced the grief of losing my first dog, I urge all doggy owners to cherish the time they have with their furry loved ones, not just by giving them affection, but by pro-actively taking preventive steps towards prolonging and improving the quality of their lives. It’ll save you from the financial cost of unwarranted vet treatments and that guilty feeling of not having done your best.

And food is one way to do it. If interested, do drop Dorothy a message and don’t be surprised if she’s more committed towards your dog than you are :)

❤️ Muffin

Dot was knowledgeable, patient, and incredibly supportive during Muffin’s CKD journey. She took the time to explain things clearly, and offered calm, thoughtful guidance. She gave me her personal life experiences on how she handled her late pet and even helped to get food that was suitable for muffin’s poor kidney. I truly appreciated her compassion and support throughout the journey.
